What Your Purse Says About You

Your purse is one of the most important accessories you can own. Some women spend an incredible amount on handbags and purses, while others don’t really spend much at all. In the overall scheme of things, it’s not necessarily the cost that’s the most important thing. It’s more important to find something that fits with your style and complements your personality. And without even knowing it, you could own a purse or two that speaks volumes about who you are. For better or for worse, your decision on your purse reflects characteristics on a subconscious level. This doesn’t mean you have to get paranoid and double check every aspect of your purse right now. But it might prove interesting to see if some of these general rules apply to you and your choice of this important fashion accessory.

Size – a smaller purse tends to indicate that a person is well-organized and extremely efficient. On the other hand, a large purse signifies a more flighty personality. Don’t take offense if you see this as an insult, and remember these are just general guidelines. But in general, a woman with a large purse that contains almost everything she owns is not as well organized as someone who has a smaller accessory that only contains what she needs. But on the positive side of things, a large purse also indicates a more open personality and general friendliness. While you might not necessarily have everything in order, you aren’t afraid to share or add interesting people to your life – just as you like to collect things inside your purse.

Style – going with an over-the- shoulder purse tends to be associated with people who are rushed. You need something that you can fling over your shoulder because you might be late for your next appointment. A woman with a smaller purse on the other hand is usually more relaxed because they already have everything in order. A smaller wallet-like purse also indicates a more assertive personality because it’s a style similar to what a man might own. Something that also bucks the trend of femininity would also fall into this category.

Color – the color of your purse will indicate a lot about your personality and overall style. Women who tend to be more reserved pick a traditional color with a lesson glam. Others who have a more boisterous and outgoing personality aren’t afraid to be judged by the color of their purse. They might even choose to stand out from everyone else by picking a color that is totally different. If you see someone with a fuzzy rainbow colored purse, you can bet that woman loves expressing her individuality.

Cost – the price of a purse can often be misleading if you’re trying to judge a woman’s station in life. A rich woman isn’t necessarily going to buy something that’s expensive, and in many cases they find a much more reasonable item to purchase. Sometimes it’s the women who are trying to prove something who choose pricier brands that come with popular names. Cost is really only a factor if you put importance in it yourself. If you think that a purse is nice even though it doesn’t cost over $500, then you won’t judge other women for how much they spend. It’s also interesting to see if a woman tends towards things that are trendy or more traditional. More conservative women restrain their budgets so that they aren’t spending too much on this particular accessory.

What’s Inside – most other people will never get to look inside your purse, so you’re the only one who might be familiar with what you keeping it. But the contents of your purse is a great indicator of your priorities and personality. If all you have are a few trinkets and makeup accessories, then there’s a good chance that you are a matter-of-fact person who doesn’t waste time with luxuries. On the other hand, if your purse is entirely filled with beauty products or creams designed to deal with how to get rid of acne, you could be a woman who is obsessed about beauty and appearance. In general, a woman’s life is encapsulated with the contents of her purse, so if you take the time to spread out everything on a table, you should be able to determine what’s most important to you – whether it’s family photos, your iPhone, makeup, or a list of chores.

The Benefits Of Using A Purse Organizer

Our purses serve to help us bring the things that we need when we leave our house, and they can store an array of items. In my purse alone, when I go out, I carry my wallet in my purse, my iPhone, several tubes of lipstick, eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, a pack of oil blotting sheets, my hairbrush, my sunglasses, 2 pens, gum, pins, keys, compact mirror, powder foundation, rings and bracelets, a small bottle of hand sanitizer, a tiny bottle of body spray, 2 different types of concealer, iPod and in-ear buds, an AUX jack, coin purse, hair clips – you get the picture.

Purse Organizer

If you’ve ever stuck your hand down your purse and it took you around half a minute to find what you need, then you probably need a purse organizer. These organizers are available in different sizes, styles and forms, created to suit your personal taste, needs and preferences. Some of them have many compartments, while others have a select few. In fact there are so many varieties that you may not know what you want, as soon as you find your options.

Do you switch purses all the time? Some girls switch purses every week, and some women actually use a different purse every time they go out. This can be a problem when it causes you to spend a few minutes to do this each time, especially when you don’t even really need to! A purse organizer is like a purse within a purse. You literally just need to transfer it into the purse that you wish to use for the week or the day, and that’s it – you’re free of the hassle of going through the nooks and crevices of your purse to find those coins or pins that may be in your purse.

Purse Closet Organizer

It seems that for us women, purses serve as part of our “armor”, and we just can’t do without them. We buy them because we’re attracted to the styles, and so we have something to place our things in when we head out, plus so we have a purse to match whatever outfit we choose to put together that day. If you own several purses like I do (I own around 25), it also makes sense to get a closet purse organizer. This can work to prevent your purses from getting ruined, as your purses can get squished if you just stack them on top of each other, or shove them in a closet. These organizers for purses come in different styles, some of which look like cubby holes, while some others are available in over door styles with a hanger around the top, which will allow you to hang the purse closet organizer onto your door. These have different compartments to ensure that each purse has its own safe section.

Better Purse Organization

Whether you work from home or at a company with co-workers who say, “I hate my job” all the time, if you’re a busy person, than you know how important being organized is. With women, one of the most frustrating things is having a purse that is all cluttered. It’s hard to find the things you need and having to almost dump everything out of your purse can get a bit annoying. So what can you do about it?

One option is to get one of those purse organizers. There are two types that you can get. The first type is where the entire purse is an organizer. This means it has a bunch of extra slots and pockets for you to store your items from makeup, to keys, cellphone, and even a bottle of water. The other type is the ones that are removable. The good thing about these is that you can switch purses quickly simply be lifting the organizer out and placing it into the purse that you are going to use. The best part is that these organizer insert are quite cheap and can be bought for under $25. With an organized purse, you no longer need to dig through your purse to find your keys even if it’s dark outside since all you need to do is to feel for the right pocket.
